Buy Now vs. Make an Offer: which should I use?

When to buy at the listed price and when an offer makes sense.

Updated Oct 15, 20261 min read

Buy Now secures the domain right away at the listed price. Nobody else can buy it once you've paid.

Make an Offer lets you suggest a price. The seller can accept, decline or counter. Until a deal is agreed, the domain stays available to other buyers.

Tips

  • If the name is important to your launch, Buy Now removes the risk of losing it.
  • Make serious offers. Very low offers are often declined without a counter.
  • Many listings show a minimum offer, and offers below it are rejected automatically.
