Verisign notified ICANN on April 23, 2026 that its registry fee for .com registrations, renewals and transfers will rise to $10.97 per year, effective November 1, 2026 at 04:00 UTC. ICANN has published the matching .com fee schedule.

Background

The previous increase took the fee from $9.59 to $10.26 on September 1, 2024, as Domain Name Wire reported at the time. NTIA said in 2024 that the Cooperative Agreement terms did not allow further wholesale increases until September 1, 2026.

What you can do

Registrars set their own retail prices on top of the registry fee. As Domain Name Wire has noted for earlier increases, registrants can often renew for several years in advance (up to 10 years) at the current price.
